Services
I offer you two specialized areas in neuropsychology, tailored to your clinical or legal needs:
Forensic Neuropsychology
Assessment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning with legal or judicial relevance
Objective of this service
To conduct an expert neuropsychological assessment aimed at evaluating abilities, sequelae or cognitive functioning with legal relevance, providing objective, clear and technically supported conclusions for use in legal proceedings.
Forensic neuropsychology is applied when a technical and objective assessment of cognitive functioning is needed in the context of a legal or judicial process . Although the reasons for the evaluation may be similar to those in the clinical setting (memory problems, brain damage, neurological diseases), the objective is not therapeutic , but rather to provide relevant scientific evidence for a legal proceeding through an expert neuropsychological report.
When do I apply?
- Assessment of legal capacity (testamentary capacity, inheritances, granting of notarial powers of attorney)
- Assessment of the capacity to make medical, financial, or legal decisions
- Modification or review of measures supporting legal capacity
- Total or partial work incapacity , and assessment of sequelae after accident or illness
- Claims against insurance companies and mutual insurance companies
- Assessment of acquired brain injury and its cognitive and functional repercussions
- Determining the causal link between an injury, illness or accident and the reported cognitive impairments
- Legal proceedings for medical negligence or civil liability
- Assessment of the cognitive impact of neurological or psychiatric diseases in legal proceedings
